THE CRAFTY PAD CHALLENGE

Men's cards are definitely NOT my favourite to make, (why can't men be happy with fairies, flowers and glamour dust)? but this is for a golfing friend. The sentiment stamp is from a set which I bought from the lovely Debbie at http://thecraftypad.blogspot.com/ I originally punched holes where the buttons now sit, but when I saw the challenge at the Crafty Pad, ( buttons required) I thought aha - these tiny old buttons would look better than the holes, and they do look a teeny-weeny bit like golf balls (if you screw your eyes up really tight)!! So, this is my challenge card for The Crafty Pad, if I am not disqualified for doing a bit of last-minute "altering"!! (The trousers and cap have been paper-pieced).
All comments appreciated, especially sweet ones! Love, Sylvia xxx

Hi Sylvia, of course you are not disqualified :) - you have made a great card and I am sure your friend will love it. :) The sentiment stamp is great and works for all mens cards. :) Thanks for going in on the Crafty Pad challenge and good luck in the draw. :)

Hi Sylvia, they are golf balls aren't they? :D
But seriously, it's a wonderful card, you've got the male theme perfectly with those gorgeous papers, the great image and details. I agree, men should be happy with lots of pretty pastels, glitter, flowers and nice ribbon............shame it wouldn't go down well LOL! Chris xx

Hi Silvia
Thank you for the lovely kind comments on my blog. You do some stunning work yourself - I love the card with the Pixie download from Charmed cards - I'm trying my hardest to resist buying those but when I see cards like yours it's tough.

I hear you are from West Yorkshire - I was born there and still think of it as home.

Which town are you in?

Fab, Sylvia! :)

I'll confess - my partner quite often gets "pretty" cards with Tilda on them, he appreciates a bit of cute from time to time! Good job too!!

i kno exactly what you mean about mens cards, they are just too difficult, but you have done a fab job with this card, i am sure the man it is meant for will love it :), also thankyou for your kind comment on my blog, i am happy you like the fuzzy broder around me image, i actually did this on my photo program and not my camera, but it would be soooo handy if the camera could do it :), the photo programe i use is called GIMP and its compleatly free :), i highly recomend it if like me you have yet to get photoshop :)
