Hi - just a quick note to say it's nice to be back from holiday (I do love holidays, but I also love to get back to my favourite things)! Just adding a couple of pics. I took when we visited Howick Hall Gardens in Northumberland - thought you might like to see them. The first is an old weathered door on the Church situated in the gardens, (it is actually used as the local village church). Thought the colours were so beautiful. The second photo is a maple leaf which had come to rest on the centre of an old stone cross laid in the church-yard. Just loved the contrast of the stone with the vivid colour of the leaf. Click on the pics. for a closer look.

PS: the church door photo does look quite pale, but that's just the way the photo turned out - must have been a sunbeam in the camera lense!

Hi, Sylvia! Glad you've had such a fab time. Of course, you would in Northumberland anyway - the place is exquisite (not that I'm biased at all!!). Your photos look pretty inspiring and I'll be expecting you to produce something fabulous for the Trimmie Challenge 34 - it's all about Autumn.x :)
Hi Sylvia, glad you enjoyed your holiday and come back full of inspiration!?! The photo of the church door would make a lovely background for a card - lovely misty colours! Get that mojo working again girl - looking forward to your first piece of artwork!:)
Welcome back Sylvia!
Love love that ethereal door photo!
Was it misty then or did you get suncream on your camera lens? Because you certainly needed your sunscreen with the perfect sunshine we've had!!
I think the sun came out especially for you, so your cream teas would taste even better!

what stunning photos - especially the leaf. The colours are just fabulous - if we coloured one like that we probably would say it was too bright and not realistic but of course nature can get away with it. Just fabulous.
