Update - 1st December - My card won 1st prize
in the Sarah Hurley Embossing Challenge. Whoo-hoo!!
Hi peeps - I can hardly believe that two weeks have passed by since my first DT challenge at Sentimental Sundays. There were some amazing entries for the last two challenges - thanks to everyone for joining in the fun!   A new feature of the SS challenges is to have a "Random Winner" and the "Top 3" - If you would like to see who the lucky entrants were last week, just click the link above.  Details of the challenge, plus some fabulous DT inspiration, and fab. FREEBIES can also be found there!
********
This week's challenge theme is THOROUGHLY THANKFUL, (Thanks or Thanksgiving), and your project should include a sentiment.
*******
Thanksgiving day this year is November 25th - so Happy Holidays to all our blogging friends who celebrate this joyous occasion.
***********
So - onto my DT card, which is "clean and simple", for a change!! (The card is pale ivory, but looks blue in the photo - does anyone have any tips for photographing cream (and white) card please??!!!
I am entering my card into this week's challenge at
Sarah Hurley - Embossing, and
Stamp Something - Something With Thanks.
The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp. If it's a digi sentiment you are searching for, or a custom-made stamp, please take a look at Raindrop Echo Designs (Ann Vento). Her designs are fabulous.
So - back to the card, and here is the Recipe (are you still with me? - Oh, good!!)
Base card - SU Very Vanilla
Bird and branches - SU Two-step Bird Punch
Embossing - CB Swiss Dots Folder

Sylvia, this is SO pretty! I have been admiring it for a week now. In fact, I used this card as inspiration when a friend asked me to teach her how to make cards (like you can do that in an afternoon)! The sample card I made was much plainer than yours and different but I thought your ideas were terrific. If I ever blog about it I will link back to you. (yours is much better!)Awesome work here, Sylvia!

Refined and sublime Sylvia, just like you :-)
Sensationally stylish and sophisticated card.
Plus it's got a birdie!
The vanilla card looks quality stuff, can you copic or watercolour on SU card?
A mighty finely tied bow ;-)

I also just noticed that you're form Leeds. My husband is from Leeds. Armley. Its a small world, isn't it?
