Hi all - hope you are having a happy week.
This week at Less Is More , it's a ONE LAYER card and the theme is
"The Eyes Have it"!
"The Eyes Have it"!
I had more or less decided not to enter my card, as I was not very happy with it, but after spending most of today at the Leeds General Infirmary, some crafting seemed like a breath of fresh air tonight,
so here I am after doing a bit of tweaking (still not happy with it though)!
Some of you know of the problems hubby and I have had for many years with my elderly FIL who is almost 105. He is now slowly deteriorating, and had two very bad falls last night (just 2 of many, recently) - hence our dash to hospital this morning. I must say - the LGI staff were amazing.
********
So - here is my card.
The stamp is "Miss Austen" from Indigo Blu , inked with Jet Black Archival.
Eyes coloured with a mixture of Distress Marker Iced Spruce and Promarker Cool Aqua.
Quote typed and printed on my 'puter.
Apparently, it was William Shakespeare who
first used that quote, in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Is that true?!!
Happy Crafting and
thanks for popping by!
Hugs,

Hi Sylvia, I'm not sure why you're not happy with your card as I think it's fabulous. The collage stamp works really well with the sentiment and I love the tiny splash of colour that breaks up the black. I'm sorry to hear that about your FILs failing health and I wish him well. You take care too x
Great idea for the challenge and I can certainly see the colours of the eyes and flower.
Lovely card.

Ah there she is! what beautiful piercing blue eyes.I like your blue touches and that embossing bottom right....great card!
The font and size of your sentiment works brilliantly with that fab detailed image and the corner scoring was a great idea. You should be pleased with this, I really like it :)
Thanks for sharing with us.

You might not like it, but I think it's a beauty. Just the perfect amount of color added to this clean and vintage design, two styles rarely combined but it looks fantastic!
Why aren't you happy with this card? I love it... it's different and unique and I mean that in a good way. Very well designed too with those little pops of blue here and there.
So sorry to hear about your FIL but wow, 105 is quite amazing, isn't it?
Very striking card, Sylvia. The touches of blue really stand out. Rachel.
Wow that's some age! My boss at work, who retires in a few weeks, has a 102 year old father but your FIL has a good 3 years on that! Sending him speedy recovery wishes and thanks so much for taking the time to join in our Less is More challenge this week.
That's one super striking and fabulous image.
