SEEING DOUBLE AT LESS IS MORE THIS WEEK!

Hi peeps - sorry I haven't been around for a few days - had a very busy week with family "things"!
Just managed to squeeze into this week's LESS IS MORE Challenge, which is SEEING DOUBLE SEEING DOUBLE!

This reverse stamping technique is one which I haven't used for ages - it's similar to the brayering reverse stamping technique, but I have used a very old Hero Arts "Shadow Stamp", which is basically a plain square of wood-mounted rubber. The Anna Griffin blue pram was inked up with Versafine Majestic Blue, then stamped onto the Shadow Stamp. The image on the shadow stamp was then stamped onto the card. This "reverses" the image.  The pink pram was stamped with Staz-on Blazing Red, directly onto the card.
The Twins stamp is from a New Baby set by Kars.

A warm welcome to my new followers - Elizabeth and Maria.

LESS IS MORE METALLIC COLOUR THEME, AND A CRAFTY SNIPPET!

Wow lovely Bloggers, Friends and Limettes - what a fabulous challenge Mandi and Chrissie have set for us this week over at Less Is More - METALLICS!!  And here is my card, which took longer to photograph than it did to make! The SU card looks rather orangey in the photo, but it's a lovely Christmassy red IRL. (Tuesday - Update - have managed to take a slightly better photo in daylight today)!
ANOTHER UPDATE - 13th Sept. - My card has been ShowCASed - Thanks Chrissie and Mandi!
As I have used very old bits and pieces, I am also entering this into Jules' lovely Snippets Challenge at
Always With a Heart. Do pop over to see what Jules is up to!

So peeps, for the LIM METALLIC challenge, I dug deep into my cupboards, drawers, boxes, shelves etc. and re-discovered these chunky metal initials C and H, which were originally hanging around the neck of a bottle of Carolina Herrera perfume (see the picture below for a "before I used them" shot).  The perfume is long-gone, but I just couldn't bear to part with the initials as I thought they would come in useful one day!!

Recipe:
I printed   appy hristmas  in gray Parchment font, onto white cardstock and cut out with a Nestie Labels 18 die.
Edged the Nestie with Versamark ink and heat-embossed with Judikins Metallic Silver EP.
Chopped off the little metal circle from the "H" before attaching to the card with glue.
Attached the chunky metal snowflake (I think this came from an old Xmas card) to the "C" with silver
metallic thread then attached these to the card.
Wrapped silver metallic thread around the card and attached the Nestie with 3-d foam pads.
Edges of card coloured with a Pilot Silver ink pen.

and here is a picture of the Carolina Herrera perfume bottle (found this on the internet today):-
A very warm welcome  to Tilly and Jo, my newest followers.

Have a wonderful week everyone ~ love and hugs,
