ATCAS CHALLENGE #45

Hi Peeps - it's time for a new challenge at ATCAS! Thanks so much for popping by!
This fortnight's Code Word has been chosen by our lovely Teamie, Harriet  ~

Must admit, my first response to the Code Word was "Yikes", but after doing some research, and giving it lots of thought,  I realised I have actually used Geometric shapes on my cards in the past, and here is an Xmas tree design which I first used several years ago.
After lots of searching in the darkest corners of my craft room, I re-discovered my original tree card, which I  immediately de-constructed, so I could see how I put it together! Although it may look rather complicated, it's actually very quick and easy to make, and great fun too!

Here is my newly made version for my DT card ~

There are quite a few geometric shapes in this design - firstly, the tree is made with nine  punched 2" squares, folded  Tea-Bag fashion (Hands up if you remember the Tea-Bag-Folding era)!!  The squares are folded into large and small Triangles, and the finished tree is triangular too.  The tub is a piece of white card cut in a Trapezoid shape, popped up on a 3-d pad.
Of course, the Star is  Geometric too!

Blue and white spotty paper - Craft Creations.
Sentiment - LOTV
Stampin-Up  Framelits Stars die (the smallest from the set), cut and layered 3 times to give dimension.
Do pop over to the ATCAS Blog to see what fab. creations the DT have come up with!

Our CAS Perfectionist will receive 3 images from our Fab. Sponsor, Scribbles Designs

Happy Crafting ~

Amazing card Sylvia, it looks really complicated and I bet it was! I can only think of a 'not for blogging ears' meaning for tea bagging technique!! But this is far nicer and makes for one amazing card!

A super card. I have made a card similar except the fold goes the opposite way and double sided paper was used, but I much prefer your style.

Sylvia, I just want to reach through my computer screen and stroke it! It's incredibly texture and yet CAS. How did you accomplish that :-) It is a stunning card.
